Cultural Field Trip to Yayasan Warisan Johor on 10 July 2018
Recognising cultural heritage is of crucial importance in contributing towards social, economic and environmental goals across MB World Group Berhad’s development projects in the southern region of Peninsula Malaysia, the Group organised a field trip to Yayasan Warisan Johor (YWJ or Johor Heritage Foundation) on 10th July 2018 where 40 Staff were awed by the richness of Bangsa Johor.
Staff of MB World Group were hosted with guided tours to a few galleries within Sultan Abu Bakar Heritage Complex, namely, Johor Weaving Gallery, Johor Art Gallery and Johor Documentation Centre. YWJ is indeed an eye opener for all to see the methods of making the various heritage products of the state produced by our forefathers which were invariably imbued with a sense of cultural richness.
YWJ concluded the tour with a cultural performance entertainment while treating the Staff to a traditional lunch at Dapor Warisan which is also located within the compound.
As a gesture of goodwill, MB World Group contributed a token of RM10,000 for sponsoring a kei (weaving loom) to Yayasan Warisan Johor.
