MB World Group donates RM15k worth of food to food bank
18 July 2020 – MB World Group Berhad through its subsidiary Crystal Faber Sdn. Bhd. recently contributed RM15,000 worth of food to HOL448 Food Bank to support the organisation’s effort in providing food aid to the poor and needy.
Founded in 2015, HOL448 advocates volunteering 4 hours a month and thus 48 hours a year to help the community. Through food bank, HOL448 volunteers raise food from the public and distribute to the families in need every month.
The conditions that the families face include suffering from serious illness or physical disability, elderly living alone, single mother with children struggling to survive, losing income due to certain reasons, and having an income below RM1,500. The Covid-19 pandemic has also caused more people to rely on this emergency food relief.
On 18 July 2020, total 150 packs of food comprising cooking oil, flour, seasoning sauce, canned foods, chocolate malt, coffee, cereal, biscuits, instant noodles and others had been distributed through the HOL448 volunteers to the beneficiary families.
