MB World Group Shares Community Outreach in Collaboration with PDRM
With rising concerns on the social ills and crimes, and in conjunction with the nation’s auspicious 61st Merdeka Day themed “Sayangi Malaysia”, MB World Group collaborated with Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM) Kota Tinggi District in hosting the premier 3-day Info Cyclist Tour which took place on 15 – 17 September 2018, a community outreach initiative spanning across Bayu Damai, Bandar Penawar, Kuala Sedili, Felda Aping Barat, Kota Tinggi, Bukit Besar and Batu Ampat with a total distance of 195 kilometers.
Info Cyclist Tour aimed at engaging and interacting with the members of public through various activities at each check points such as community policing, collecting and disseminating information, gotong royong (communal works), tarik pukat (pulling fishing nets), safety awareness campaign, meet and greet at bazaar, and PDRM information road shows where the public were encouraged to disseminate information about crimes or complaints to the police by using a special application called the Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP).
The event received overwhelming involvement from members of the public. More than 200 police forces and their families throughout the state of Johor took part including 66 enthusiastic cyclists. The response was encouraging and the impact was enormous. Invigorating crowd witnessed the official closing ceremony officiated by Chief Police Officer Johor, CP Datuk Mohd. Khalil Bin Kader Mohd. in the afternoon on the 17th of September 2018.
